The short version

Meet Mabel stores the contact information you give us and the contacts you add. We use AI to help you do more with those contacts. We don't sell your data. You can delete everything, anytime.

02

What information we collect

Account information

Your name, email address, and hashed password when you sign up. If you upgrade to a paid plan, billing is processed by our payment partner. We never store your card number.

Contact data you add

The core of our service is your contacts:

  • Business card images you photograph or upload
  • Fields extracted from those cards: name, title, company, email, phone, address
  • Notes, tags, and pipeline stages you assign
  • Activity logs you or Mabel record (calls, emails, meetings)

Your contacts are yours.

Enrichment data

When you add a contact, Mabel may use their name, company, and email to look up publicly available information such as company size, industry, LinkedIn profile URL, company logo, and recent news. This data is stored on that contact's profile in your account.

Usage data

Pages visited, features used, session duration, error logs, device type, browser, and IP address. Used to fix bugs and improve the product.

Communications

If you contact us by email or through support, we retain that conversation.

03

How we use your information

We use your data to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve Meet Mabel
  • Process business card scans and populate contact profiles
  • Enrich contact data on your behalf via third-party sources
  • Generate AI-powered follow-up drafts, reminders, and morning briefs
  • Send transactional emails: receipts, password resets, account notices
  • Send product updates and tips (you can opt out anytime)
  • Respond to support requests
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do notuse your contact data or your contacts' personal information to train our AI models.

04

Mabel and AI-powered processing

Meet Mabel uses AI to process your business card scans, enrich contact profiles with publicly available information, score relationship strength, and generate suggested follow-up messages. These features are assistive — Mabel surfaces suggestions, and you decide what to do with them. They do not produce decisions that affect anyone's legal rights.

We do not use your contact data to train AI models. When we use third-party AI APIs, your data is processed under agreements that prohibit their use for model training.

05

Who we share your data with

We share data only as needed to deliver the service:

Payment processors:to handle billing. They store your card details, not us.
Cloud infrastructure providers:to host the service and store your data securely.
AI API providers:to power Mabel's features, under data processing agreements.
Contact enrichment providers:to look up publicly available contact information.
Analytics tools:aggregate, anonymized usage data only. No individual contact data is shared.
Legal requirements:if required by law or to protect our rights.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

06

Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you close your account:

  • Your contacts, notes, and activity history are deleted within 30 days
  • Billing records are retained as required by law (typically 7 years)
  • Anonymized, aggregated usage data may be retained indefinitely

You can request deletion of your data at any time.

07

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your data:

  • Data in transit is encrypted with TLS
  • Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms
  • Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel
  • We conduct regular security reviews

No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

08
